General Hospital Calabar, working with ECEWS under the ACE-5 project, has taken major steps toward seamless HIV service integration. By aligning pharmacy, laboratory, and records units, the facility delivers patient-centred care to over 3,400 clients with a 95% viral load suppression rate. This strategic shift ensures confidentiality, equity, and continuity of care across all service touchpoints.
ECEWS strengthened PMTCT services in Bakassi LGA, Cross River State, testing pregnant women for HIV, initiating mothers on PrEP, and delivering early infant diagnosis to improve maternal and child health outcomes.
ECEWS ACE5 and NISRN carried out a joint supervisory visit across Akwa Ibom to improve laboratory coordination and referral systems. The exercise enhanced collaboration, streamlined sample flow, and strengthened service delivery for faster, more reliable diagnostics.
