The management team and staff of ECEWS, alongside Government of Nigeria partners, conducted a weeklong Strategic Quality Improvement Visit in Cross River State under the ACE-5 Project in May 2026, reaffirming its commitment to strengthening HIV program delivery and improving health outcomes across supported facilities.

The strategic engagement commenced with visits to General Hospital Calabar and the office of the Honourable Commissioner for Health, reinforcing collaboration with state leadership and frontline healthcare providers in advancing HIV response efforts and broader public health interventions in the state.
The visit focused on enhancing state ownership, strengthening program implementation, improving data-driven decision-making, and assessing the quality of healthcare services delivered across supported facilities. It also provided an opportunity for targeted technical support, mentorship, and capacity strengthening for healthcare workers and program teams to improve overall program effectiveness and sustainability.
Through continuous collaboration with government stakeholders and implementing partners, ECEWS remains committed to building resilient health systems, expanding access to quality healthcare services, and advancing sustainable, people-centered healthcare delivery for communities across Nigeria.
