In a continued effort to strengthen community-based HIV interventions and improve service quality, Excellence Community Education Welfare Scheme (ECEWS) Akwa Ibom State team in facilitated refresher training sessions on HIV Testing Services (HTS) for Community Case Workers (CCWs) in collaboration with the Center for Clinical Care and Clinical Research Nigeria across all 31 Local Government Areas in Akwa Ibom State.

Following the recent distribution of HIV Rapid Test Kits (RTKs), the training was designed to reinforce collaboration between implementing partners while enhancing the quality and consistency of community HIV testing services. Key objectives included strengthening adherence to the national HIV testing algorithm, improving quality assurance practices, and ensuring accuracy in program documentation.The Monitoring and Evaluation team also provided targeted guidance on standard reporting requirements to improve data quality and program accountability.

Overall, the refresher training reinforced the commitment of ECEWS and its partners to delivering high-quality, data-driven HIV services, ultimately contributing to improved case identification, linkage to care, and sustained epidemic control in Akwa Ibom State.
