On 16 July 2026, Mrs. Victoria Andy, CEO of Aviclaire Farms, delivered the keynote address at a One-Day Capacity Building Workshop on Effective Farm Records Management, organized by the Akwa Ibom State Local Government Service Commission in collaboration with Viconsult Management Services. The workshop brought together Agricultural Officers from all 31 Local Government Areas of the state, with Mrs. Andy speaking on “The Role of Agricultural Officers in Monitoring and Evaluation of Agricultural Programmes and Projects for Effective Records Management,” where she highlighted the critical role Agricultural Officers play at the intersection of policy implementation and grassroots agricultural development.

Mrs. Andy described Agricultural Officers as custodians of vital data that informs policy decisions, attracts funding, and ensures farmers receive needed support, warning that poor record-keeping results in invisible farmers, unaccounted yields, and unmet needs. She challenged participants to treat monitoring and evaluation as a continuous process from planting through harvest rather than a one-time exercise, noting that government agencies, donors, and development partners increasingly demand reliable, verifiable data before committing resources. She introduced practical, sustainable approaches for tracking farm inputs, yields, beneficiary records, and project milestones, stressing that records management is an act of accountability and service to farmers.
