A VISIT TO THE AKWA IBOM STATE GOVERNMENT HOUSE AND MEETING WITH THE WIFE OF THE GOVERNOR

It was a significant opportunity to share the inspiring story of ECEWS, and the impact we have had so far in Akwa Ibom and other regions. This unfolded during our visit to the Akwa Ibom State government house, where the wife of the Governor, Pastor Patience Umo, warmly welcomed us. Led by our CEO, Dr. Andy Eyo, and accompanied by key members of our delegation including Mrs. Victoria Andy, Dr. Adeoye Adegboye, and Dr. Toyo Otoyo, the Excellence Community Education Welfare Scheme (ECEWS) team delivered an overview of our work and highlighted critical achievements in ending HIV, addressing gender-based violence, combating cervical cancer, promoting safe motherhood, and fighting Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs). Additionally, our presentation underscored the human resources investments of our various projects in Akwa Ibom State. It was a distinct honour to witness the government's confidence in ECEWS, recognising our positive impact, not only in healthcare but also in education and economic empowerment. Overall, this visit exemplified a culture of care and dedication to preserving and enhancing the well-being of the people of Akwa Ibom.
