We recognize the importance of excellence in education, which was the driving force behind our establishment around the turn of the millennium. At that time, Nigeria was grappling with an alarming rate of examination malpractices among pupils in schools. This social ill became a huge worry to Mr. Andy Eyo and a few friends in Akwa Ibom State as it threatened to undermine the competitiveness of students and predicted a bleak future for the country.

In partnership with the Red Cross Initiative, we initiated the Excellence Home Teaching in June and November 2001, providing free educational counselling sessions to students. Our aim was to equip them with essential skills and knowledge, empowering them to excel in their studies and pursue their dreams with integrity. Additionally, we established reading clubs and distributed books to further support their education. In 2003, we intensified our efforts to address the issue of examination malpractices by launching an essay competition to emphasize the importance of honesty in academic pursuits and to increase awareness about the adverse effects of using dishonest means to achieve good grades. Another significant milestone was bringing computer literacy to 50 high schools for students who had never seen computers before. This was made possible through the generous donation of computers obtained from the Justice Department by the Centre for Youth Empowerment in the United States. We trained the teachers and equipped them with the essential curriculum needed to continue educating students on how to use the computers. We have expanded educational opportunities by offering scholarships to exceptional students from underprivileged backgrounds

Specifically in partnership with the OANDO Foundation, schools were adopted as part of the Adopt-A-School Initiative (AASI) Program to reintegrate out-of-school youths in Rivers and Bayelsa States. We also facilitated the provision of learning materials to approximately 400 Out of School Children (OOSC) and awarding of scholarships to ten (10) students in the implementing states. In order to enhance stakeholder engagement, we collaborated with State Ministries of Education to train 3,191 teachers and 1,011 volunteers on psycho-social support. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, we partnered with UNICEF to facilitate reading clubs for young people in three states: Benue, Enugu, and Ebonyi. We are proud of our accomplishments and the positive impact we have made on the lives of numerous school and out-of-school children, enabling them to reach their full potential by providing access to quality education.
