In a bid to expand access to information Communication technology (ICT) among students in Akwa Ibom States, ECEWS in partnership with the Centers for Youth Initiative Maryland USA and The Akwa Ibom State Secondary Education Board initiated a computer donation and literacy project. 

24 rural secondary schools received at least a computer set comprising of CPU, Monitor, Keyboard and a Mouse. Over 30 teachers were trained on computer education and provided curriculum to commence teaching of Computer science. This presentation was also carried out in partnership with the State Ministry of science and technology and the Nigerian Union of Teachers. 

Benefiting schools among many others were these; Four Towns Secondary School Uyo, Etinan Institute Etinan, Atakpo Secondary School Mbiaya Uruan.  (PICTURES WITH TEACHERS ON COMPUTERS)
