This year’s World AIDS Day theme, “Ending the HIV Epidemic: Equitable Access, Everyone’s Voice,” is a reminder that despite advances in prevention and treatment of HIV, access to HIV testing, treatment, and prevention tools remains a challenge we must address.
The ECEWS’s commitment to pursuing new HIV prevention tools and novel approaches to enhancing prevention effectiveness is anchored in the goal of providing all individuals at risk, regardless of race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexuality, class, or disability, access to the prevention strategies that fit their needs. Our commitment is to ensure HIV prevention is integrated with ways to prevent sexually transmitted infections and unintended pregnancies.
We are grateful to our Network members and partners, research teams, funders, community organizations, other stakeholders, and most of all, our study participants that have supported our ongoing research aimed at ending the HIV global epidemic.
Thank you all for your continued hard work, dedication, and passion.
