ECEWS: Adding value to Education

ecews-adding-value-to-educationOn June 22, ECEWS donated a variety of books to Sanvee International School library. The representatives of the school which comprised 3 teachers and 14 pupils were received at ECEWS head office, Uyo where the donation was made by the Executive Director of ECEWS, Mr. Andy Eyo to the Senior Prefect of the school, Miss Akon Osung.

In remarks during the event, Eyo said; “the books were donated to ECEWS by United States Agency for International Development (USAID) funded IFESH Program and ECEWS in turn is donating some of the books to Sanvee International School to improve the teaching curriculum of the school.” While explaining that the books cut across all categories and subjects ranging from Pre-nursery to Primary level, he also implored the school to create a feedback mechanism where ECEWS will be informed on the impact the books have had on the pupils.

While acknowledging and appreciating the donation on behalf of Sanvee pupils, the President of Sanvee community, Miss Dorinda William promised ECEWS that the pupils will make good use of the books.

Mrs. Uwem Ojukwu speaking on behalf of the staff of Sanvee expressed gratitude to ECEWS for the colourful books donated to the school adding that it will make learning pleasurable.

The donation is part of ECEWS’ commitment to improving education in Nigeria.
