Andy Eyo

ECEWS is coordinated by a highly self-motivated and talented executive, Andy Eyo. He is a graduate of Chemistry from the University of Calabar- South-East Nigeria and holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Environmental management and in Education from the University of Uyo. He also holds a Master degree in Business Administration (Leadership) from the University of Liverpool and has attended several courses in Education and HIV/AIDS and is a community level strategic HIV/AIDS prevention specialist. He is an experienced human resource Manager and grants management specialist with Certificate in Grant Management from North Pole institute, USA and Lagos Business School. He is an experienced trainer and technical advisor in HIV/AIDS programming and has been responsible for the overall performance management in ECEWS with certification from Measure Evaluation/PHRP-OAU Ife as a Monitoring and Evaluation professional. He has several certifications in management of World Bank programs especially in the HAF 1 process; he was responsible for managing the World Bank sponsored technical assistance project for CSOs mandated to implement HAF 1 in 2005- 2006. He was the Principal Investigator and  Project Director of a seven year long $5.1 million MACC-4 project; a CDC/PEPFAR project in Akwa Ibom, Cross River and Abia States focusing on HIV Prevention, Care and Support. Currently he is the Principal Investigator of a CDC/PEPFAR Comprehensive HIV/AIDS care and Treatment project in Enugu, Imo and Ebonyi States which supports over 4000 patients on anti-retroviral therapy. He also supervises the UNFPA funded SRH/HIV integration project in Benue, Cross River, Akwa Ibom and Kaduna States.  He has certifications on the Epidemiology of HIV/AIDS and Health Planning from John Hopkins University, MD USA.

He is a member of the International AIDS Society, Environmental Managers Association of Nigeria, and Counselling Association of Nigeria. He provides leadership in program implementation across all ECEWS project and manages relationship with ECEWS Donor and partners. He is a team player and has very excellent communication skills and good ability to analyse situations and make quality decisions as necessary.

 

Dr. Okezie Onyedinachi (MD. MPhil. DTM&H. PD.FAM.MED.) Deputy Project Director/Director Clinical Services

Dr. Okezie Onyedinachi has over twenty- two (22 )years multi-country post-graduate experience in HIV/AIDS and other infectious diseases in resource-poor settings in Africa; inclusive of over 12 years programme management experience in the field of HIV/AIDS/TB/Malaria at National, state, Local Government, health facility and community levels (Lesotho and Nigeria).

He is a man of great passion and commitment to the fight against HIV/AIDS Pandemic and reducing its impact on humanity.  He graduated from the University of Nigeria Nsukka as Medical Doctor in 1991. He holds a post graduate diploma in Family medicine from the University Of Pretoria, a Post Graduate Diploma in Tropical Medicine and Health from WITS University and Master of Philosophy Degree in HIV/AIDS Management from Stellenbosch University, Cape Town – South Africa.  A good personal communicator with a certificate in interpersonal skill from Lagos Business School.

He has worked with the government of Lesotho in Southern Africa and as a consultant with ICAP Lesotho in implementation of Public Health programs to mitigate the impact of HIV/AIDS/TB and Malaria. He was instrumental to the rapid decentralization of HIV services to lower levels of care and also in the setting up of the MDR TB centre in Mohale’s Hoek District Hospital for the Government of Lesotho with support from Green Life Pharmacy and University Research Company (URC).  In Nigeria, he has contributed his technical expertise in the development of programs to mitigate the impact of HIV/AIDS Epidemic. His huge contribution to HIV/AIDS program in Nigeria has won him great accolades as the face of CIHP and award of Excellence from two leading implementers of HIV/AIDS program in Nigeria in 2013 (CIHP) and 2015(ECEWS) respectively. He is a member of the national task team on HIV/AIDS program and have been involved in development of Global Fund Proposals, policy documents and guidelines in HIV/AIDS program both locally and internationally.

 

Heir Ntiah (ACA, MBA, NLCF)– Director of Finance and Operations

Mr. Heir Ntiah is a Chartered Accountant, an Associate Member (ACA) of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN). He holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Calabar and a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accountancy from the then Calabar Polytechnic. Mr Ntiah has worked in several capacities both in the public and private sectors including but limited to being an Audit assistant with 82 Divisional Headquarters, Nigerian Army (Civilian Pay Unit, Enugu (1990), Accountant on a world Bank project  with Akwa palm industries Ltd – Uyo (1994), Audit Senior with Ntekim Robson & Co Chartered Accountants, Eket – (2001); Manager(Finance/Accounts) with Gate oil Petroleum Nigeria Ltd –Eket (2004), Internal Auditor/Compliance Officer with ECEWS (2009) and currently the Director of Finance/Operations with ECEWS from 2013.

Mr Ntiah has attended several courses, trainings and workshops in finance and accounting, grant management, procurement and stores management, leadership, internal control and forensic audit amongst others.

 

INIOBONG U. UDIONG (ACA) Compliance/Grant Officer

Mr Iniobong Udiong an enterprising, hard-working and technically skilled ACCOUNTS MANAGER known for accuracy, attention to detail and timeliness in managing disbursement functions for diverse-industry employers. Accounting function career spans 19 years of experience in general merchandise, Agro-allied, retail, and NGO. Backed by solid credentials (HND in accounting, Associate member Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ACA), Certificate in Grant management, proficiencies in generally accepted accounting practices (GAAP), Generally Accepted Government Auditing standards (GAGAS) as well as MS Office Suite, ERP/EDI systems and SAP.

 

Mr. Austin Modo (Bsc. PGDE. MBA. MSHRM.) Human Resource Manager

Mr Austin started his career in 1999 with Foursquare Ministers and Staff Retirement Benefit Scheme (West & Central Africa) as a Pension Officer and was promoted within a very short period to the Agt. Supervising Manager and Executive Secretary to the Board of Trustee. In 2004 He joined Hallmark Consult Limited as Chief Operating Officer, the position he held until 2008 when he joined the Mikano Group as a show room sales Supervisor, he rose up to the rank of the Divisional Head Human Resources/ Admin in the Steel Fabrication Division. In January 2012 he left Mikano for Popham Walter Odusote a construction and EPC Company as the Group head Human Resources/ Admin from where he joined ECEWS in October 2013.

Austin has attended several trainings, courses and seminars in Human Resource Management, Logistics, Procurement and Material Management, Strategic Management and Administration, Financial Management and Resource Planning, Grant Management and Occupational Safety both within and outside Nigeria including the prestigious Lagos Business School and the spark Business School, he is a member of the American Society for Human Resource Management and the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management, He is a Law Student of the National Open University and a Pastor with the Foursquare Gospel Church.

 

ETUK ASUKWO OKON (BSc): DIRECTOR OF PROGRAMS / COMMUNICATIONS

Born May 8, 1972, Asukwo Etuk hails from Afaha Ikot Obio Nkan in Ibesikpo Asutan Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State. He was educated at the University of Uyo, Uyo where he graduated with a Bachelor of Art degree in Theatre Arts. He later joined the Nigerian Red Cross Society (which he had served as volunteer since the age of 12) as the Branch Secretary and Chief Executive Officer for Akwa Ibom State Branch. In this position, Mr. Etuk was actively involved in the design and implementation of programmes in Health and Care, Institutional Development, Disaster Preparedness and Response as well as Youth development targeting the most vulnerable populations. He had served the organisation in this capacity for 7 years during which he led the Akwa Ibom State Branch to become the Best Red Cross Branch in Nigeria.

He is married to a doyen – Iboro, and together they have this two lovely signatures Endiong and Mmekan.

Mr. Etuk has been extensively trained both in Nigeria and abroad in Youth Work, Globalisation, Disaster Management, HIV/AIDS, First Aid, stakeholders’ engagement, Project Management, Collaboration and Networking. Others are in Community Programming and Reporting.

He joined Excellence Community Education Welfare Scheme (ECEWS) in 2009 as a Programme Officer where he demonstrated incredible initiative and a strong dedication to duty, thus moving up the ranks quickly to become the organisation’s Director of Programme. In his position as the Director of Programmes he has been proactive in projects coordination, CSO coordination, capacity building, communication, community mobilization/ engagement, programmes monitoring and feedback management.

 

 

MODUPEOLUWA DORIS ODEYALE (B. Ed, MPH) – Central M&E Manager

MODUPEOLUWA DORIS ODEYALE is a public health specialist with over ten years’ experience in program monitoring and evaluation, strategic information management and research methodologies.

She obtained a master’s degree in public health from the University of Ibadan in 2004. Modupe has attended short courses in advance monitoring and Evaluation, project management, manuscript writing and leadership management. She is very versatile in the national HIV monitoring and evaluation framework.

Before joining ECEWS, Modupe worked with International and indigenous organizations. She worked with Center for Health Science, Training and research Development (CHESTRAD) as a program coordinator in 2004. She later joined International Center for AIDS program; a CDC/PEPFAR donor funded project in 2008. She was part of ICAP work force that transited from ICAP to Centre for Integrated Health Programs (CIHP) in 2011.

Presently, she works with ECEWS as a strategic Information Advisor and M&E team lead.

Some of her hobbies include; traveling, reading, listening to music and dancing. Modupe is married.

 

Mrs. Uduak Akai, B.A, (Calabar), JP – Business Official

UDUAK PICTURE

Uduak Akai holds a bachelor degree in Linguistics from the University of Calabar, Nigeria and is a VC specialist with robust experience in the care and support for VC infected and affected with HIV/AIDS. She has significant experience in grants management using USAID and CDC related circulars and is involved in management of grants and finance of sub grantees. She has been trained on courses that cuts across leadership development and financial management, Peer Education Plus (PEP) Model for Community Level strategic HIV/AIDS prevention , HIV prevention for people living with HIV/AIDS (PWP), Care and Support for VC, Adventures of Kami and Big Bird by Sesame Street, Micro Enterprise Fundamentals and Home-stead Farming Fundamentals, Safeguarding children, LIFT Economic strengthening (ES), Child- to- Child Approach and other related areas which enables her to manage her current responsibility as the Business Official for Excellence Community Education Welfare Scheme (ECEWS).

During her stay with ECEWS, she employed feasible strategies for increase uptake of eligible VC based on program target/ VC National guidelines and contributed positively to the overall improvement in the management of funds by ECEWS supported CBOs as well as quality of service delivery at supported communities through guided program design and implementation. In addition, she worked together with ECEWS M&E team to develop a VC data base that can ease management of data from the field, increase accuracy of data and project needs of VC based on monthly data fed in from different sites. She worked with ECEWS supported CBOs to involve community leaders and the community as a whole in program planning and implementation to increase ownership and sustainability. She is a member of the International AIDS society and Child Protection Network. She is a hard-working and goal oriented team player who manages multiple tasks with ease while achieving demonstrable excellent results.
