A Chartered Accountant, an Associate Member (ACA) of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN). He holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Calabar and a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accountancy from the then Calabar Polytechnic.

He has served as an Audit assistant with 82 Divisional Headquarters, Nigerian Army (Civilian Pay Unit) Enugu (1990), Accountant on a world Bank project  with Akwa palm industries Ltd – Uyo (1994), Audit Senior with Ntekim Robson & Co Chartered Accountants, Eket – (2001); Manager(Finance/Accounts) with Gate oil Petroleum Nigeria Ltd –Eket (2004), Internal Auditor/Compliance Officer with ECEWS (2009)

He has attended several courses, trainings and workshops in finance and accounting, grant management, procurement and stores management, leadership, internal control and forensic audit amongst others.
