A graduate of Chemistry from the University of Calabar, Nigeria with a Postgraduate Diploma in Environmental management and in Education from the University of Uyo. He also holds a Master degree in Business Administration (Leadership) from the University of Liverpool; with Certificate in Grant Management from North Pole institute, USA and Lagos Business School.

 He also boasts of certification from Measure Evaluation/PHRP-OAU Ife as a Monitoring and Evaluation professional. He has several certifications in management of World Bank programs especially in the HAF 1 process including certifications on the Epidemiology of HIV/AIDS and Health Planning from John Hopkins University, MD USA.

He was the Principal Investigator and Project Director of a seven year long $5.1 million MACC-4 project; a CDC/PEPFAR project in Akwa Ibom, Cross River and Abia States, the Principal Investigator of a CDC/PEPFAR Comprehensive HIV/AIDS care and Treatment project in Enugu, Imo and Ebonyi States, supervises the UNFPA funded SRH/HIV integration project in Benue, Cross River, Akwa Ibom and Kaduna States.

 He is a member of the International AIDS Society, Environmental Managers Association of Nigeria, and Counselling Association of Nigeria.
